The international long distance rates are extremely low for almost all countries. This plan combines both domestic interstate and intrastate (with the 48 states) calling and international calling. The international calling plan is part of the domestic (USA) phone plan, i.e., you cannot get just the international rates and choose a different domestic rate. A table of all the international countries are just a click away (see below). Off shore rates for Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Saipan, and Canada area also given. Business subscribers are charged a Local Exchange Carrier PICC fee (federal tax) of $4.31/phone line A 35 cent/call surcharge is applied for calling card and toll-free calls that originate from a payphone -- no surcharge for placing toll-free calls from you own phone (business or residential) or if you own your own toll-free number for persons/businesses to call you, there is no surcharge if they don't use a pay phone to make the call. All subscribers are charged a Federal Communications Commission imposed Universal Services Fund fee (pays for internet service to schools and libraries and for rural phone access services (a tax proposed by Bill Clinton) If you request a toll-free number for persons to call you on your own toll-free number (you pay for their call to you), there is a $1.00 monthly surcharge if your monthly toll-free usage is less than $1.00. No charge otherwise except for the cost of the call. Cost of the call is at the same rate as your outgoing calls for calls within the 48 contiguous states.
